The Hipotek Dakota power brake booster adapter allows for the easy installation of the 1999-2004 Dakota power brake booster, which is 9.75” in diameter, into the 1987 – 1996 Dodge Dakota. Doing so can provide more room for the engine between the engine and booster, as well as providing an additional 47.7% of booster force to the brakes. The 1987-1996 mounting bolt pattern is different between than the 1999-2004 and requires an adapter. This adapter makes sure you install the brake booster rod straight and true for optimum performance without binding or misalignment. No modification to the firewall is required.

•  The 1999-2004 Dakota 9.75” power brake booster is a dual diaphragm with a diaphragm area of ~149.23 sq/in

Note: This will not fit the Holley Hemi motor mount swap kit for the 1987-1996 Dakota. Holley specifies at the far bottom of the advertisement, and not in the instructions, that an 8” or smaller power brake booster must be used with their motor mounts. The HiPoTek HPT201 bracket is for use with a 9.75” diameter Dakota booster. Therefore, 9.75” is larger than 8”, and will not fit. Some people get confused about this.
