These HiPoTek polyurethane conversion motor mounts will allow you to run the LA small block 318/340/360 in the 1987-1996 Dodge Dakota RWD. Requires the use of the OEM V6 (3.9) or OEM V8 (5.2) motor mount frame perches sourced elsewhere (salvage yard).

They are designed for street, street/strip, and strip applications.  It is a performance motor mount that is soft enough for the street, but stout enough for high horsepower racing applications at the track. Powder coated black. Plated inner sleeve. For rear wheel drive (RWD/2WD) vehicles.

Please note: that on the driver’s side of the LA engine, you must measure the distance between the motor mount ears to be sure you get the correct driver’s side motor mount for your application. There was some variation through years. The spread of the driver’s side motor mount ears will either be 2 1/2” or 2 7/8”.   The photo above shows the measurement of the 2 1/2" spread, measured from the rear edge of each ear.

In addition:

1. On the driver’s side of the block, there is a bolt hole close to the pan rail. Measure from the back of the block (where the bellhousing sits against) to the center of that hole. The distance will either be 9”, or 10”.

2. Water pumps: The small block water pump that people have had success with is the pre-'71 model that measures approximately 5 1/2" from the back of the pulley nub. 

3. Electric Fans: The '87-89 models have a shorter engine compartment and require an electric fan.  There should be plenty of room for a fan in front of the radiator if you remove the center grill support bracket behind the grill. The shorter water pump will help as well.
